Embodied Therapy for HSP Women

Embody Her.

Adrienne Goloda, LMSW-C

I help highly-sensitive women feel, heal, & be more real, thru embodied psychotherapy.

serving cis, non-binary, & trans identifying womxn in Michigan

Do you identify as Highly-Sensitive?

Perhaps you are also Intense…Creative…Neurodivergent…Gifted…Mystical?

Our current world (and a lot of therapy) is not made for sensitive folks. Embody Her can help you make sense of your sensitivity.

Embodied (aka “somatic informed”) psychotherapy is a modern evidence-based approach, rooted in emergent science of the body + brain. Going beyond just talk-therapy, you can expect to experience more exploration, self-inquiry, mindfulness + body-based practice in session & learn how your unique nervous-system works along the way.

I weave embodiment with other less pathologizing approaches, especially insight-oriented Cognitive therapy, Parts-work aka Internal Family Systems (IFS), a Jungian + transpersonal/metaphysical lens, & creative expression.

I specialize in serving highly-sensitive womxn struggling with a constellation of:

  • “highly functional” anxiety & depression

  • sensory differences/needs/abilities

  • the fawn response: people-pleasing + masking + shape-shifting

  • exhaustion & boreout/burnout

  • career navigation

  • existential angst

  • spiritual awakenings

  • the dis-ease of capitalism

  • being yourSELF

I’m also rooted in holding de-colonized space. I attune to kyriarchal power dynamics (in/out of the therapy zoom-room) based on class, race, ability, gender, sexuality, and the mental health industrial complex — and I acknowledge my practice streams over unceded indigenous land.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to my niche & scope-of-practice as an outpatient therapist, I am unable to see clients who require crisis services, are currently experiencing acute substance-use issues, eating disorders, interpersonal violence, certain medical diagnoses, or have been psychiatrically hospitalized within the past 2 years. I do not provide couples, family or sex therapy. I only see clients I feel I can serve. And because I am 100% online, please consider if you are a right-fit for virtual vs in-person services. I am happy to answer questions via email and/or discuss on a consult-call.

I currently accept Michigan-based clients and most commercial insurance plans of Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)/Blue Care Network (BCN), Priority, along w/self-pay clients ($165/session) — sliding-scale rates are reserved for existing clients experiencing financial hardship —I do not accept Medicaid/care at this time. All self-pay clients receive a Good Faith Estimate per the No Surprises Act.
