I’m not accepting new clients or waitlisters at this time.
Adrienne Goloda, LMSW-C
Along with being a licensed psychotherapist, I’m also an ex-bodyworker and bartender, lapsed artist, and camrade in lived experience with mental health dis-ease.
I specialize in embodiment, a framework that is rooted in emergent neuroscience alongside timeless ways of knowing and being a human. I continuously study body-mind-spirit healing modalities. I most recently completed two intensives with Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes, aka author of Women who Run with the Wolves and internationally renowned creatrix.
My core trainings/influences include: Jungian Somatics by Jane Clapp, Polyvagal Theory via Stephen Porges and Deb Dana, Parts Work (aka Internal Family Systems by Richard Schwartz), iRest yoga-nidra/meditation, and the Embodied Recovery Institute (informed by both Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing). Adjacent to my clinical training, I’ve completed many Kimberly Ann Johnson Jaguar courses.
I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Western Michigan University, where I interned in community mental health and a state psychiatric hospital while also serving as a teaching/research assistant. I also hold a degree in English/creative-writing from Kalamazoo College.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked as a licensed massage therapist & certified reflexologist + reiki practitioner alongside many service-industry jobs and gigs in the arts and fashion.
I’m a proud first-generation college graduate and only child of a singular single-mom.
I adore my little black cat Morpheus, quiet, movement, the desert, fancyish clothes, free-spirits, books, and finding beauty everywhere.
Psychotherapy is available to MI-residents-only; happenings are available to everyone/anywhere! but are not a replacement for psychotherapy.
